Disclaimer: Everything published on this web site is the sole property of Taylor Hart and Follow Your Hart Productions. Ownership of these copyrights will be aggressively pursued and protected. Art is the accumulation of the life experiences of the artist and, therefore, any history with the artist may be used in the creation of art. Any copyright violation in terms of your relationship with the artist is not possible as long as it was used in the creation of unique art. Anything may be used in the creative process. There are no completely original ideas. Since man invented the wheel every other creation has been a modification or improvement on the wheel's design. Everything seen or heard can be used as inspiration as long it does not have a copyright of its own. The life of an artist is not separate from the art of an artist. Artists live public lives.
Copyright protects "original works of authorship" that are fixed in a tangible form of expression. The fixation need not be directly perceptible so long as it may be communicated.
Copyrightable works include the following categories:
 literary works
musical works, including any accompanying words
dramatic works, including any accompanying music
 pantomimes and choreographic works
pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works
paintings
motion pictures and other audiovisual works
 sound recordings
 architectural works
Every photo, painting, video, audio recording, or writing is copyrighted...automatically. It doesn't matter if it is done by an amateur or professional...it is copyrighted. It also doesn't matter if their is no copyright symbol or notice attached to the work. All creative works are implicitly copyrighted. This change happened in 1989 with the Berne copyright convention.
